Sienkowski receives Columbia Grains scholarship

PORTLAND, Ore. - Columbia Grain International announced an employee at its Havre plant is a recipient of a new scholarship the company launches.

Hannah Sienkowski, who is pursuing an accounting degree at Montana State University, received the Columbia Grain Annual Scholarship.

Columbia grain launched its first-ever annual scholarship Program, established by President and CEO Jeff Van Pevenage, earlier this year.

The scholarship was open to active CGI employees and their immediate family members - spouses and dependent children - and Sienkowski was one of five winners announced this month.

"We value every member of Columbia Grain and support the growth of these individuals and their family members to foster continued learning whether it be in agriculture, agribusiness, or other educational pursuits," Van Pevenage said. "We're honored to award those whose dedication to hard work contributes not only to their own self enhancement, but to the betterment of their workplace and the communities they serve."

Recipients were selected based on academic achievements, financial need, and their personal qualities and strengths as attested to in their essay.
