It's that time of year again as the Great Northern Fair makes its return to the Hi-Line. Along with the usual attractions, the Great Northern Fairground will be a host to several sporting activities.
Festivities will get started this Wednesday at 3 p.m. with the junior rodeo. Some of the best young riders from the area will compete in events such as sheep riding, flag racing, barrels, steer riding, chute dog, pole bending and tie down roping.
Festivities at the Great Northern Fairground will then continue with the Great Northern RAM Rodeo on Thursday and Friday. At this rodeo, professional riders will compete in events such as bull riding, barrel racing, breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping and tie down roping. On both nights, the rodeo will start at 7 p.m.
The Great Northern Fair will introduce the new tractor pull for this year. The event will take place on Saturday with it starting at 2 p.m. and the night show starting at 7 p.m.
The Havre Jaycees Demolition Derby Bump 'N' Run will then take place at the Great Northern Fairgrounds on Sunday. The destruction should start at 4 p.m. on the last day of the fair.
With all these events as well as the usual attractions, the Great Northern Fair should provide another week of excitement for the Hi-Line.
