New fairgrounds bathrooms will not be completed by 2022 fair

Great Northern Fair Board member Bob Kaul, in a meeting of the Great Northern Fair Board Wednesday, said the project to replace the bathrooms near the community center would not be complete by the time of this year’s fair.

Kaul said the materials still aren’t there yet and they can’t start tearing the old bathroom’s down until they get those materials for new ones in so the project will need to be pushed back.

Replacing these bathrooms has been a priority project for the board for many months but the increasing price of materials and labor has become a complicating factor.

He also said they are working on filling in some holes in the pavement that were dug out when fixing water leaks and that will hopefully be done by fair time.

If not, he said, they can use gravel instead of pavement.
