Joplin’s Art in the Park and Car Show starts with a few events tonight, but is in full swing all day Saturday starting at 8 a.m. in the park and ending at closing time at Nancy’s Bar.
Breakfast will be served at the park at 8 a.m. for all the people setting up for the day and getting registered for events.
Along with the vendor show, with homemade and commercial goods, the car show will see around 60 cars from antique to new on display. And the day will include food booths and a Kid Zone with a bounce house, a jelly ball course, treats and water slides.
Dawson’s Run, a fundraiser honoring it’s namesake, will be seeing its final run this year, the year Dawson would have graduated high school, his mother Kassondra May said, adding that his legacy will live on in all the good the fundraiser has done for the community, schools and children.
