Obituary - Neal Alan Clayborn

The world became brighter on December 15, 1955, the day that Neal Alan Clayborn was born. Neal sadly passed on June 11, 2022, after a short battle with lung cancer.

To honor Neal's memory, we are holding a celebration of his life June 17, 2022, at the Fifth Avenue Christian Church starting at 11 a.m. The family invites all who attend to share a meal after services. Ashes will be spread at a later date.

"I had fun," said Neal Clayborn, a generational farmer of the Bear Paw Mountains.

Neal wrote his own rules and lived ten lifetimes during his time on this earth. He loved deeply, spoke kindly, and could make anyone laugh. Neal spent his life outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, or working on something. He was a jack-of-all-trades who could fix anything that was broken.

His stunning blue eyes, sense of humor, and carefree spirit could make anyone fall in love with him. His kind heart and gentleness lured animals to him and he embraced them all with open arms.

Neal poured his heart into those closest to him by loving, guiding, and teaching them everything he knew. Though he touched many, his proudest achievement was marrying his wife, Audrey Clayborn, who supported, loved and cherished him until their last days together.

Neal will be sorely missed by his wife of 28 years, Audrey Clayborn; sons, Willis Clayborn, Harvey Herrig; daughters, Susie Clayborn, Adrienne Love; beloved grandchildren, Alexandra (Valentine) Kanehailua, Travis Clayborn, Kiara Love, Jadynn Herrig, Paige Herrig, Josh Herrig, Chase Herrig and Heaven Love; great-grandchildren, Adam Kanehailua, Ava Kanehailua, Keason Herrig and Scotland Herrig.

Neal is preceded in death by his father, Sam Clayborn; mother, Margret Clayborn; and brothers, Dale, Larry and Dean Clayborn.
