Letter to the Editor - Thanks American Legion Riders and all who helped with Wounded Warriors fundraiser

I was contacted by Brian Carpenter of the Havre American Legion Riders about doing a motorcycle poker run fundraiser for Montana Wounded Warriors Memorial Day weekend.  Havre has been a great supporter of our organization since we started 11 years ago.  The fundraisers in Havre had taken a break over the last two years due to the COVID mess but when Brian offered I was all for the event.  

The weather cooperated and the turnout was great.  I was really impressed with how organized the whole ride was and wanted to tell all the people involved how much we appreciated the effort by everyone involved.

That evening, volunteers put on a great dinner at the Eagles Club followed by raffles and live and silent auctions. The grand total raised was $10,783.  What a blessing for our disabled vets. 

Thanks again to the American Legion Riders and all of the business’s and individuals who made donations to support this awesome event.
