Weather stops first scheduled show
Havre Area Chamber of Commerce has canceled the first scheduled performance for Sounds on the Square tonight due to the weather.
“We’ll hit it hard next week,” said Joe Ross, who helps organize the summer program of live music.
Steady rain fell in Havre much of this morning, with National Weather Service showing just more than six-tenths of an inch had been received at its recording station at Havre City-County Airport by 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.
Today’s forecast calls for showers, mainly until 3 p.m., with a low tonight of 46 degrees.
A high wind warning is in effect until 9 tonight, with winds of 30 mph to 40 mph and gusts of up to 70 mph predicted.
