Hi-Line Cruz'n Association Rod Run back in Havre

Car enthusiasts will again have the chance to see - and show - some classic vehicles at the Great Northern Fairgrounds and around town this weekend.

After a two-year COVID pandemic-caused hiatus, the 34th Hi-Line Cruz'n Association Bear Paw Rod Run is back.

The event typically brings people and their vehicles from this area, around the state, other states and across the Canadian border to the show.

This year's event is moving ahead a few months for a theme - Hall-O-Wheels.

"Halloween costume preferred," a flyer for the Rod Run says.

The Rod Run starts with registration at the fairgrounds tonight 5-9 p.m., with food for registered participants 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Registration starts again Saturday and runs 9-11 a.m.

Registration fees are $55 for single registration, $65 for couples and $70 for families, all in U.S. dollars.

The flyer says families are considered two adults and children younger than 21. Family members 21 and older must pay $45.

As registration ends, the Show 'N' Shine starts at the fairgrounds, running from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

People can see a variety of classic cars and hot rods from a variety of times, styles and manufacturers at the show.

After the Show 'N' Shine, participants will have a Poker Run from 2-4 p.m.

After the Poker Run, registered participants will be fed at a pitch fork fondue at the Great Northern Fairgrounds.

Awards and dancing to the music of local band Blind Luck starts at the fairgrounds activity center starts at 6 p.m.

The flyer says no registrations will be accepted after 1 p.m. Saturday and people cannot attend the dinner and awards and dancing unless they are registered by then.
