Obituary - Mable 'Delores' Ball

Mable "Delores" Ball, 83, passed away due to natural causes at the Care and Comfort Home Friday, May 20, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2022, at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Megan Hoewisch officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Delores' family has suggested memorial donations be made in her memory to the Care and Comfort Home or the charity of the donor's choice.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.

Delores was born December 4, 1938, in Cut Bank to Louis and Hannah (Stone) Fink. She was raised outside of Cut Bank, attending Cut Bank schools.

Following her high school graduation, in 1958, Delores married Jack Ball, and the couple had three children. In 1961, the family relocated to Havre, where they raised their children.

Delores went to work as an administrative assistant at Northern Montana College, and she received her associate degree in business while working there. She retired in 2000.

Delores enjoyed painting and gardening. She loved her husband and children, and spent as much time with her grandchildren as she was able. Delores was a member of the Havre Art Association, the Soroptomists, and the Montana Watercolor Society International.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ball; parents, Louis and Hannah Fink; and brother, George Sherwin.

Delores is survived by her daughters, Lorraine (Kevin) Johnson of Havre and Kathleen (Chris) Gorder of Billings; son, Steven (Jill) Ball of Spokane, WA; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Clairice Carr of Miles City; and several nieces and nephews.
