Obituary - Leona Ann Olson

Leona Ann Olson of Buffalo, MN, age 76, passed peacefully 04/29/2022 after a short battle with ovarian cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Helmuth and Martha Kuhn, and her brother Carl Kuhn.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Pam Johnson (Kevin), and her three adored grandchildren, Tyler Walstad, Erica Walstad and Graham Johnson; sisters, Evelyn Anderson, Lois Kuhn and Linda Thackeray; brothers Bob (Edna) Kuhn and Bill (Sarita) Kuhn; and many nieces and nephews.

Leona was a proud homemaker, devoted wife, and skilled seamstress for a large portion of her life in Grand Forks, ND, where she also had a small drapery sewing and wallpaper hanging business. She enjoyed growing red geraniums and roses, painting beautiful oil paintings, quilting, and she loved crafts of all kinds.

She retired from Culligan Water in Havre, MT, where she was the office manager for 26 years.

In lieu of gifts or flowers family prefers donations to the American Cancer Society in her name.

A small service/celebration of life will be held May 14th at 2 p.m. at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church in Buffalo, MN, followed by refreshments.
