Havre City Council’s Safety Committee will meet Monday, May 16, in the Emergency Operations Center Room in the basement of Havre City Hall.
The meeting agenda is:
1. Discuss further the textured ceiling in the Fire Department that has broken loose onto surfaces. Initial tests indicate the material contains asbestos fibers.
2. Discuss further the diesel exhaust that is covering the walls in the Fire Department truck quarters, but also infiltrating into the living quarters of the Fire Department and offices of the Havre Police Department.
3. Discuss further the concerns from the shooting range below the Fire Department. Initial surface tests indicate high levels of lead in the range and the Fire Department offices, kitchen, floors, etc. Review other areas possibly affected and discuss possible solutions.
4. Discuss further the oldest ambulance continually breaking down and becoming a safety concern for those onboard. Review plans and possible solutions.
