Havre Police Department

A caller with Montana Department of Transportation on First Street West reported missing scrap metal Tuesday at 11:49 a.m.

Two juveniles were issued summonses after a fight was reported at Havre Middle School Tuesday at 12:22 p.m. No details on charges were provided.

Acoya Nathan Gopher of Box Elder, 24, was arrested on charges of assault with reasonable apprehension, trespass to property and shoplifting after a caller at a First Street business reported a man and a woman possibly in a fight at 12:56 p.m. Tuesday.

Jaime Dawn The Boy of Havre, 45, was arrested on a pickup and hold order and two Justice or City court warrants served on Second Street at 2:54 p.m. Tuesday.

Havre Police Chief Gabe Matoshich said officers investigating a gunshot wound to the hand reported Tuesday at 5:46 p.m. at the hospital found that the wound came from a negligent discharge of the firearm and no citations were issued.

A First Avenue caller reported vandalism to a vehicle on First Avenue Tuesday at 6:32 p.m.

Officers investigated a report of suspicious activity on Smithville Road at 2:33 p.m. Tuesday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A theft, forgery or fraud was reported on 14th Street Northeast Tuesday at 9:43 a.m.

A 15-year-old was issued a summons on a charge of underage tobacco possession or consumption after a caller at Box Elder School reported the offense at 9:49 a.m. Tuesday.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians reported two calls Tuesday and four calls early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a car fire on the 100 Block of First Street West after a driver noticed smoke in the vehicle, pulled over and called 911 at 12:06 p.m. Tuesday. The car sustained minimal damage because the wire was only a speak wire and the occupant was able the extinguished immediately.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three 3-week-old and three 6-week-old kittens of all of unknown gender, four female cats, two male cats and a male 11-month-old kitten. Also, one male 9-week-old kitten was being fostered.

The shelter also held a male 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female border collie dog, three male 6-month-old mixed-breed puppies, a male mixed-breed dog, a female mixed-breed dog and a female Rottweiler dog. A female 22-week-old mixed-breed puppy and a female 23-week-old mixed-breed puppy were being held in foster care. The shelter was also holding separately two male and four female 6-month-old mixed-breed puppies.
