Local Golf Report: Golf leagues are teeing off now

With some almost perfect weather over the course of three nights, golf leagues got underway in Havre.

Things kicked off last Tuesday night with the start of men’s league at Prairie Farms Golf Course, where BA Ranch earned high team honors with 24.5 points. Kyle Sheppard, Nate Baltrusch, Curt Leeds and Robert Tate composed the team.

Jordy Donoven was low gross with a one-under 35 and Josh Habits was low gross with a 30.5.

Last Wednesday night saw HUB Insurance score 24 points to take home high team. Steve Mariani, Garrett Hanson, Murry Hurlburt and Chad Edgar made up the winning team, while Mariani was low net with a 32.5 and Kyle Miller was low gross after firing an even-par 36.

Last Thursday night, women’s league at Prairie Farms kicked off with Goodrich Excavation scoring 24 points for high team. Alicia Goodrich, Lorrie Keller, Jayme Seidel and Karla Bokken made up the team. Kelsey Ward shot an outstanding 39 for low gross, while Cindy Knudson was low net with a 31.5.

Men’s league also began last Thursday at Beaver Creek Golf Course. Results weren’t made available by press time, but hopefully, we’ll get those in next week’s column.
