Conservation district passing out wildflower seeds

Press release

Spring is coming to the Hi-Line.

The Hill County Conservation District is passing out free native-wildflower seeds to county residents. Native wildflower species are specially made for the Hi-Line climate, attract native pollinators and can even bolster the soil health of a yard.

This year the district has six flower seed mixes; Stalwart Seeds for tough yards; a beautiful Aster Blaster; the classic Sunflower Summer; Restorative Roots for bolstering the soil; Delicate Delights that require a bit more care, and a Super Mix of all of the above. Additionally, the district is offering packets of native grass mix to sow a patch of native prairie.

Come visit stuff at the USDA building, 206 25th Ave Suite #1 to pick up seeds or seek staff out at events around town.
