Press release
Hill County 4-H has been granted permission by the Great Northern Fair Board Commission to install nine power boxes around the Bigger Better Barn.
The Kremlin Hawks 4-H Club is taking the lead on logistics and implementation of the power boxes and hope to have this project completed by the 2022 Great Northern Fair in July.
The club is seeking donations to fund the project that will benefit not only 4-H’ers during fair time but the community when rodeos, concerts and other events are held at the Great Northern Fairgrounds.
The nine power boxes will enable 18 campers to have access to power during events which will allow the fair commission to generate revenue from use of the power boxes and camping spots.
The estimated cost of the project is approximately $10,000 and the Kremlin Hawks 4-H Club is actively seeking grants to help fund the power project.
However, if people would like to make a tax-deductible contribution to the project, they can make out checks to Hill County 4-H Foundation with “Camper Power” in the memo line and mail or drop them off to Montana Statue University Extension Hill County Office at 315 Fourth St., Havre, MT, 59501.
For more information, people can contact Becki Miller at 406-570-7105 or the Extension Hill County Office at 406-400-2333.
