Havre Police Department

A Thursday 6:14 a.m. caller on First Street West reported that someone cut a zip tie and stole stuff out of his pickup truck.

A caller at the cemetery reported Thursday at 11:28 a.m. that someone wrecked into the fence, damaging the fence and leaving behind damaged vehicle parts.

Meagan Mae Knowles of Havre, 30, was issued a summons on a nuisance dog in city charge after a caller on Saddle Butte Drive reported at 1:37 p.m. Thursday that a dog was barking constantly.

A summons was issued after a caller from a Great Falls business reported at 2:56 p.m. Thursday that an employee working on Washington Avenue was bit by a dog. No details on the charges were provided.

An abandoned bike was reported at Lincoln Avenue and 13th Street Thursday at 7:31 p.m.

Christopher Michael Stanford of Havre, 42, was arrested on charges of strangulation of a partner or family member, assault on a minor and partner or family member assault.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Sheriff's office dispatch log reported no arrests, summonses or investigations in the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Thursday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three cats and two 10-month-old kittens all of unknown gender, a female 7-month-old kitten, five male cats and two female cats.

The shelter also held two male mixed-breed dogs, a female Labrador retriever dog, a male mixed-breed 9-month-old puppy, a male 8-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a female 9-month-old St. Bernard puppy, a female Labrador retriever, a male 9-month-old corgi puppy, a female 5-month-old shar pei puppy, a male Labrador retriever and a female mixed-breed dog. Two male 8-month-old mixed-breed puppies and a male 9-month-old mixed-breed puppy were being held in foster care.

A girl was born Wednesday, March 30, 2022, to Martha M and Mike George Kleinsasser of Hilldale Colony, Havre.
