News you can use

Hello, God. It's me, Mara.

A lovely spring morning

You know Lord, some days one awakens with a song in their heart, a smile on their lips and feel "in love" and it doesn't even have to be Valentine's Day or June! We might just have our heart in tune.

Some favorite things might be hot soup on a cold day or a cold soup made of raw, blended vegetables on a hot day. Also, how about a good book to read? A friend suggested a few things she loved, she named: the American flag, our country, nature, her home, her dear family and she loved sunny days and remembered those line-dried clothes her Mama used to hang outside. We had to agree with her about Montana's deep blue skies, parades, bands, bagpipers and horses, the drumming of feet to the musical beat.

Another friend loved sweet peas, privacy, peace and quiet, great music, gentle breezes [instead of the wild wind like we've had], and the shade of the trees. We three loved starlit nights, the big dipper, the milky way high up in the sky; and don't we all just love sparkling clean windows that "G.B." recently cleaned for us! We love peace of mind.

When walking Park Lane, we get to see far, hear meadowlarks, even hear the whistling train and maybe enjoy a gently falling Spring Rain, the greening up of nearby mountains. Meditation also makes the act of 'doing nothing' quite respectable and it is emotionally therapeutic.

Oh, we could go on and on, but read Psalms 8:3,4, and 9; "When I look up into the night skies and see the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars that You've made - we cannot understand how You can bother with mere puny man, to pay any attention to him!  Oh Jehovah, our Lord, the majesty and glory of Your name fills the earth." Thank You, Lord.

Love, Mara
