Havre Police Department

A summons was issued after a caller at Havre Middle School reported a fight at 12:11 p.m. Wednesday. No details on charges were provided.

Someone stopped at the police station Wednesday at 1:53 p.m. to speak with an officer about a scam call.

Randi Lynn Hill of Great Falls, 36, was issued a summons on a shoplifting charge after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business reported a shoplifting complaint Wednesday at 2:40 p.m.

A 17-year-old was issued a summons on a charge of littering after a caller on Fourth Street reported an erratic driver at 7:49 p.m. Wednesday.

Charles Glynn Plante of Havre, 44, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge and Caleb Ian Plante of Havre, 19, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and minor in possession after a Third Street caller reported Wednesday at 11:58 p.m. that two people had returned and they had been drinking.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Sheriff's office dispatch log listed no arrests, summonses or investigations in the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Fire Department

Firefighters responded to a fire in a wood pile in a driveway on the 900 Block of 10th Street West at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday. The fire was put out without damage to any structures and no one was injured in the incident. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Assistant Fire Chief Nathan Courtnage said.

Firefighters also responded Wednesday at 3:42 p.m. to a grass fire on the 6000 Block of Second Street West. The fire started along the roadway and spread with the wind. About three acres were burned, but no structures or vehicles were damaged. Because the fire started in the ditch, the cause could be a number of things, Assistant Fire Chief Nathan Courtnage said.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one cat and two 10-month-old kittens all of unknown gender, a female 7-month-old kitten, five male cats and three female cats.

The shelter also held a male mixed-breed dog, a female Labrador retriever dog, a male mixed-breed 9-month-old puppy, a female 9-month-old St. Bernard puppy, a female Labrador retriever, a 9-month-old corgi puppy, a female 25-week-old shar pei puppy, a male Labrador retriever and a female mixed-breed dog.
