2022 Havre Daily All Hi-Line Boys Team

Boys basketball on the Hi-Line is always fun to watch. Whether it's the Class A Havre Blue Ponies, the Class B rivalry between Rocky Boy and Harlem, or the always-tough District 9C, Hi-Line hoops never fails to entertain us.

And with that much quality basketball comes quality boys basketball players. Year-after-year, the Havre Daily News All Hi-Line boys team is chook-full of great players and this year's version is no exception.

The All Hi-Line Team is composed of five repeat performers, and an astounding nine upper classmen. All three levels of area hoops are also represented on the team, and interestingly, there are no freshmen in this year's version.

R.J. Ramone, Harlem

Ramone is now a three-time All Hi-Line performer. In his senior season, the four-time Class B All-State selection averaged almost 20 points per game, but more importantly, he helped the Wildcats advance all the way to the Class B state championship game and their first trophy at state since 2002. Ramone is also a four-time all District 2B honoree for the Wildcats.

Joe Demontiney, Rocky Boy

Demontiney makes the All Hi-Line Team for the second year in a row. Averaging 19 points per night for the Stars, coached by is father Adam, Demontiney earned Class B All-State for the third year in a row, and is a four-time District 1B selection. He also helped the Stars to a stellar fourth-place finish at the Northern B.

Caden Jenkins, Havre

Jenkins was a senior anchor for the Blue Ponies, of head coach Walynn Burgess. A three-year standout for HHS, Jenkins averaged 12 points and five rebounds per game this past season, a season in which he helped HHS reach the state tournament for the first time in six years. Jenkins also joins his cousin Kellen Detrick, who was a multiple-time selection to the All Hi-Line team.

Tyrus LaMere, Box Elder

LaMere makes his second straight trip to the All Hi-Line Team. At more than 20 points per game, LaMere was one of the top scorers in the District 9C. He also led Box Elder in steals, and helped the Bears to a fourth-place finish at last month's 9C tournament. LaMere also earned Class C All-State honors for the second year in a row.

Ben Crebs, Rocky Boy

Crebs is making his second straight trip to the All Hi-Line Team. Scoring 18 points and grabbing eight rebounds per night for the Stars, Crebs, also a standout on the football field, earned 1B honors for the fourth year in a row, and Class B All-State for the second straight season.

Tyler Cichosz, Harlem

The second Wildcat to make the squad, Cichosz also becomes the latest to join an older sibling in making the All Hi-Line Team as older brother Brad was a four-time All Hi-Line selection. For his efforts, Tyler scored 16 points per game this season on his way to Class B All-State honors.

Braydon Cline, Big Sandy

The Pioneers had a share of the 9C regular season championship and reached the Northern C again this season, and Cline was a big reason why. Scoring 16 points per game, Cline earned Northern C honors this winter, just as he did as Big Sandy's quarterback last fall.

Blake Harmon, CJI

The leading scorer on CJI's District 9C championship team, Harmon had a big season for the Hawks. He averaged 14 points and nine rebounds per game for CJI on his way to All 9C honors. Harmon is also a standout on the football field, and on the track for CJI.

Xavier Butler, Havre

Butler burst onto the scene this winter for the Ponies. A first-year starter, he wound up leading Havre in both scoring and rebounding, while helping HHS all the way to the Class A state tournament. Butler, an All-Conference performer, also had a huge run in the postseason, where he led Havre in scoring in key games at the Eastern A, and at state in Missoula.

Oskar Pula, Chinook

Pula has been strong for the Sugarbeeters since he was a sophomore, but he exploded during his senior season. An all 9C standout for the third time, Pula paced Chinook in scoring and rebounding in his final season, while helping the Beeters reach the Northern C once again.

Gabe Saddler, Box Elder

The second Bear to make the squad, Saddler is on the All Hi-Line Team for the second year in a row. He's been a consistent player for the Bears the last three seasons, earning District 9C honors each of those three years.

Toby Niederegger, Chinook

Niederegger was a three-year starter and four-year standout for the Beeters. He's been all 9C three years in a row now, and has been one of Chinook's top scorers during that time. He's also helped Chinook to a streak of four straight divisionals.

Editor's Note: The All Hi-Line Team is selected from votes by available area coaches, as well as the Havre Daily News Sports Staff. The list does not reflect the opinion of any single individual. The All Hi-Line Girls Team will be published in Friday's Havre Daily News.
