Tom was born and raised in Michigan, but later migrated to Montana where he met the love of his life, Judy Terry. Tom and Judy married in the winter of 1973 and raised four beautiful daughters.

Tom worked at the Havre Public Schools in the Maintenance and Bus Garage for 17 years and then for Box Elder Schools in the same area for 17 years, finally retiring in 2017. Tom took pride in delivering the children to school safely and enjoyed socializing with all his co-workers.

Tom was a very generous and giving person who would help anyone who needed it. He was never one to hold a grudge and was always there to help the underdog. You couldn't take him anywhere because he would find someone to talk to and always left making a friend.  He was a loving and caring man who enjoyed spending all the time he could with his family. He was an avid animal lover, especially, his beloved dogs and horses.  Tom and his family spent countless hours riding horse, camping, and enjoying big family gatherings.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Daughenbaugh; brothers Edward and Jerry Gorecki; infant son, Tommy; daughter Danielle; and in-laws, Glen and Helen Terry.

Tom is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy Daughenbaugh; daughters Kathy (Mike) Palmer, Jan (Bill) Harrison, Tiffany (Billy) Kimberling, Desarae (Adam) Kutzler; 14 grandchildren, Joe (Kendra) Palmer, Jake (Kaley) Palmer, Jessica Knoll, Thomas Knoll, Dylan Kimberling, Brayden Kimberling, Kortlynn Kimberling, Zoey Kimberling, Zander Kimberling, Lauren Kutzler, Mason Kutzler, Gavin Harrison, Tyler Harrison and Eric Harrison; two great grandchildren, Damon and Jaime Palmer, with a third on the way; brothers Ben (Val) Gorecki, Joe (Oneida) Gorecki, and Barry (Sandra) Kensinger, and many other beloved extended family members.
