A 29-year-old Havre man who is facing charges of assault on two detention officers has been transported to Gallatin County where he is being held on charges of probation violation.
Thane Gray, who was being held in Hill County Detention Center on charges of assault and probation violation, had additional charges brought against him Sunday from two separate incidents.
Gray was charged with vandalism Sunday in an 11:42 a.m. incident, but Hill County Sheriff’s deputies and Havre Police officers were called at 2:50 p.m., Undersheriff Stan Martin said, when Gray assaulted two detention officers.
The officers and Gray were taken to the hospital for their injuries and later released, Martin said.
Gray was being held Tuesday morning before transport to Gallatin County on charges of probation violation, two counts of felony assault on a peace officer, felony assault with a weapon and criminal mischief, with $100,000 bond for the probation violation and a total of $500,185 on the other charges.
Gray was originally arrested by Havre Police officers Friday on charges of assault and probation violation after a caller at U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a man was yelling at people and making them feel uncomfortable at 11:46 a.m., and then a disturbance was reported in the emergency room at 1:11 p.m.
Martin said the incident is still under investigation, and the detention officers are back to work.
