Nitz, Irvin moving to Havre High School next year

Move opens three administrator positions in Havre schools

Havre Middle School Assistant Principal Jeremiah Nitz and Highland Park Early Primary School Principal are moving to positions at Havre High School, Havre Superintendent Craig Mueller announced Monday.

Nitz will be taking the position of Havre High School assistant principal and Irvin will take over as activities director, both positions covered by first-year Havre staff member Kevin Nettleton this year.

“Mr. Nitz has continued to serve the district in a variety of roles over the past several years and will return to Havre High School as the assistant principal in the fall, 2022,” Mueller said in his announcement. “He will continue as the middle school assistant principal/athletic director through the remainder of this school year.”

“Mr. Irvin has been the principal at Highland Park Early Primary School for the past five years, and prior to that served as the assistant principal/athletic director at Havre Middle School,” Mueller continued. “Mr. Irvin was previously an athletic director and administrator in Box Elder.”

Mueller said both Nitz and Irvin will continue their positions, at Havre Middle School and at Highland Park, for the remainder of this school year.

Nettleton had not responded by printing deadline this morning to an inquiry from Havre Daily News as to what he would be doing next year.

Mueller announced Feb. 28 that Havre Middle School Principal Dustin Kraske would take over as Havre High School principal next school year.

That spot is being held by Interim Principal Tom Vail, who was hired in January after Principal Ed Norman resigned in December.

The hirings fill positions at Havre High School but leave open the principal and assistant principal positions at the middle school and Highland Park.

The Havre Middle School principal position is listed on the “Job Opportunities” section of the Havre Public Schools website this morning, and Mueller told Havre Daily News that the others will be posted.
