Havre Police Department

Russell Eugene Verploegen of Havre, 62, was arrested on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation reported at 8:16 a.m. Monday.

A man was taken to the emergency room after a 12:05 p.m. Monday caller reported a man on 11th Avenue had knives and was trying to stab mailboxes and cars.

A caller reported Monday at 1:02 p.m. that someone had left a gun at a U.S. Highway 2 North business.

--

A four-wheeler wreck with an injury was reported by a caller at a First Street establishment Monday at 2:10 p.m.

A First Avenue caller asked at 3:24 p.m. Monday to speak with an officer about her mother being taken advantage of.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Sheriff's office dispatch log listed no arrests, summons or investigations in the 24-hour reporing period.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to three calls Monday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two 9-month-old kittens of unknown gender, a female 6-month-old kitten, three male cats, three female cats and a male 25 week old kitten.

The shelter also held a male mixed-breed dog, a male 8-month-old Labrador retriever puppy, a male 21-week-old Labrador retriever-Australian shepherd puppy, a female 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female pit bull terrier, a 9-month-old corgi puppy, a female 7-month-old German shepherd puppy, a female 22-week-old shar pei puppy and a male Labrador retriever.

A girl was born Sunday, March 6, 2022, to Deah Demontiney of Box Elder.
