Havre Police Department

A 6:26 a.m. caller reported that his girlfriend was stuck on the hill at 13th Street and Fifth Avenue.

A caller at Second Street and Second Avenue reported hitting a light pole Thursday at 7:34 a.m.

--

A caller on U.S. Highway 2 West reported Thursday at 7:51 a.m. that a Ford pickup truck slid around the corner and ran into two parked cars, but no one was injured.

A Thursday 9:05 a.m. caller reported a vehicle on Sage Bush Drive slid into a pared pickup truck, but no one was injured.

--

A two vehicle crash involving a truck and a sand truck was reported on Second Street West Thursday at 9:10 a.m.

--

A caller at the water treatment plant reported Thursday at 11:34 a.m. that someone hit the fencing with a vehicle.

--

Peter I. Smith of Cut Bank, 38, was arrested on three Justice or City court warrants after a caller on First Street Northeast reported a trespasser on the property Thursday at 5:21 p.m.

--

Russell Eugene Verploegen of Havre, 62, was arrested on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation reported at 7:55 p.m. Thursday.

Taylah Sutherland of Box Elder, 20, was arrested on charges of driving without a driver's license, no vehicle insurance and violation of child restraint, and on two Justice or City court warrants.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

The sheriff's log was unavailable due to technical difficulties.

Montana Highway Patrol

The Montana Highway Patrol website reported troopers were called Thursday at 8:26 a.m. to a vehicle crash with an injury on St. Joe Road near mile marker 9. MHP Sgt. David Baggs said that the vehicle involved in the crash was a Kenworth Truck and an occupant was transported to Great Falls for medical care.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to eight calls Thursday, and firefighters responded to a 12:56 p.m. fire alarm on the 500 Block of Montana Avenue. The caller reported a smell and smokey haze, which turned out to be burned food.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two cats and two kittens of unknown gender, a female 6-month-old kitten, four male cats and three female cats.

The shelter also held a male mixed-breed dog, a male 8-month-old Labrador retriever puppy, a male 21-week-old Labrador retriever puppy, a female 7-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male mixed-breed dog, a female German shepherd dog, a female pit bull terrier, a 9-month-old corgi puppy, a female 22-week-old shar pei puppy and a male Labrador retriever.
