Obituary - Michael Bruce Jestrab

Michael Bruce Jestrab, 63, passed away in Bellevue, WA, January 25, 2022. He had a long and valiant battle against brain cancer.

Survivors are his husband, Larry McGhaw, sisters, Patsy Good, Kathy Hess, and Celeste Jestrab, brothers Frederick Jestrab, and Thomas Jestrab.

Michael's huge heart drove him into professions of funeral services and senior assisted living, to help others in need, who were at the end of their lives. He had the effect of quickly endearing people he met. He kept, and maintained friendships for a lifetime. He loved loud music, and having long conversations with friends and family.

Michael was born to Dr. George and Phoebe Jestrab September 29, 1958, in Havre, Montana. Michael graduated from Havre High School in 1976 and then he went on to college at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He received a BS degree in civil engineering. Michael's parents predeceased him. He took loving care of them during their illnesses, and death.

In 1994, Michael met the love of his life, Larry McGhaw. They were married on July 11, 2013, once it became legal in the state of Washington. They had a wonderful, happy life together, near friends and family.

His memorial is March 7th at 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Sunset Hills Memorial 1215 145th Place SE in Bellevue, WA 98007. There also will be Live Streaming for family, and friends outside the Bellevue area.

The reception will be held 12-3:00 p.m. at Sunset Hills Memorial.
