Tyler Schoen, Chinook Wrestling
What a run for Chinook's Tyler Schoen. At last week's Class B-C state wrestling meet in Billings, Schoen captured the Sugarbeeters' first individual state title in several years when he won the 170-pound B-C championship. On Saturday, Schoen, who also plays football for the Beeters, beat rival Damien Nesbitt of Glasgow in the semifinals, then beat Huntley's Wylee Lundeen 7-2 in the finals.
Aliviah Pratt, Havre Swimming
It was a tough state swim meet for the Havre Blue Ponies, but senior Aliviah Pratt finished strong. Pratt reached the final of the Class A-B 100-yard breaststroke last Saturday In Great Falls, where she finished fifth with a time of 1:19.59. The finish earned Pratt Class A All-State honors, which was a great finish to her outstanding swimming career, which spanned four winters for the Havre Blue Ponies.
