Havre Police Department

A Seventh Street caller reported Monday at 7:48 a.m. that a window had been broken out in her car.

Officers were asked Monday at 11:17 a.m. to provide assistance on 10th Street West.

Vandalism was reported on Fourth Avenue at 11:34 a.m. Monday.

Officers were called to assist at Havre High School at 11:40 a.m. Monday

A 14th Street caller reported Monday at 2:08 p.m. that a vehicle hit the caller's house then left the scene.

Melinda Rose Cochran of Havre, 40, was arrested on a charge of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and on two Justice or City court warrants, and Thomas Kipp Jones of Havre, 43, was arrested on a pick up and hold order and charges of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant when warrants were served Monday at 7:30 p.m. on Seventh Avenue.

Officers investigated after a caller on Third Street reported to men breaking windows at 12:22 a.m. today.

Marvin Dale Spotted Bird Jr. of Havre, 27, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants after an officer investigated suspicious activity on First Street at 1:23 a.m. today.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Kaleb Steven Dobrenz of Havre, 25, was arrested on a state District Court warrant served at Hill County Detention Center Monday at 1:36 p.m.

Montana Highway Patrol

A two-vehicle crash reported Monday at 8:53 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 87 and Old Post Road sent two people to the emergency room with appeared to be minor injuries, Trooper Matt Erickson said. A single-occupant vehicle northbound on Highway 87 slowed for the turn onto Old Post Road and was rear-ended by a second vehicle. The adult female driver of the first vehicle was checked by Havre Fire Department emergency medical technicians but was able to drive home. The the man and woman in the second vehicle were transported to the ER. Erickson said the crash was due to inattentive driving with no alcohol, drugs or speed involved.

Emergency medical technicians responded to two calls Monday, including the crash detailed above, to which firefighters also responded.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three cats and three kittens all of unknown gender, four male cats and three female cats.

The shelter also held two male mixed-breed dogs, a female shepherd, a female 10-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a female 6-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male Chihuahua, a female pit bull-border collie cross and a female 19-week-old puppy. Also held separately were a male 17-week-old mixed-breed puppy, a female 13-week-old mixed-breed puppy, one male mixed-breed dog and a female 22-week-old border collie puppy.
