State and local COVID-19 update, Feb. 8, 2022

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 1,284 new cases, 8,417 active cases, 303 hospitalizations and 3,043 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 253,204 cases.

Hill County Health Department said in its update Monday that 20 new cases were reported Saturday through Monday and 36 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 155 active cases in the county, 2 active hospitalizations, 4,560 total cases and the county has had 71 deaths.

Blaine County Health Department said in its update Monday that it was notified of a COVID-19-related death. It reported 33 new cases and 37 met the criteria to be considered recovered with one person discharged from the hospital and 2 active hospitalizations, 2,157 total cases and the county has had 30 deaths.

Rocky Boy Health Center did not provide an update Monday.

Fort Belknap Indian Community, also listed in the Blaine or Phillips county numbers, reported Monday 14 new cases and 18 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 1 discharged from the hospital with 2 active hospitalizations and 1,185 total cases. The reservation has had 14 deaths.

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had 3 new cases, 16 active, 372 total cases, 2 deaths.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 2 new cases, 11 active, 921 total cases, 14 deaths.
