News you can use
New Year's begun but we're alone - we've lost someone so dear,
Spouse, sibling, child, or Mom or Dad - our life now seems so drear.
Remembering our special one brings memories to our heart,
This "missing time" - be fresh or old; they're gone! Then tear drops start.
We may have planned some wondrous things which vanished in "thin-air."
But noble plans[1] and noble deeds are best hemmed-in in prayer.
We plan our ways, but we need help; our dearest's ones gone on!
Revisit plans but look ahead; we'll meet them "in the dawn."
Empower us, guide us, oh Lord, that we will honor You,
We look ahead, deal with each day - life's really not a "zoo"!
Freedom is ours to chart our time - we plot and plan each day,
Some days there's Sun, some days are Blue and yes, some days are Gray.
But You, oh God, empower us, help us to sow some "seeds";
Noble we'll be but need Your help, to do some noble deeds.
We look ahead; what are our plans!? What does the future hold?
"Others" we'll bless? Or just ourselves? Lord, help us to be bold!
We thank You, Lord, for memoires when our day seems a blur!
Our special one agrees with God, 'cause HE is our Anchor!
Remembering our Special ones, reminds us we should pray,
It won't be long and off we'll go, we'll get some hugs, one day.
Help us be Noble, yes, dear Lord, honorable and upright, too.
For one day soon, we don't know when, off we will fly to You!
