Havre Police Department

Delbert Duane Skidmore of Helena, 43, was issued a summons on charges of shoplifting and "attempt" after a caller at a First Street business reported a male shoplifter Monday at 8:24 a.m. Skidmore was later arrested on shoplifting charges after a caller at a different First Street business reported Monday at 4:19 p.m. that a man caught by surveillance cameras shoplifting Sunday had just walked into the store.

A caller at a Havre elder care facility reported exploitation of an elder Monday at 9:25 a.m.

Officers investigated a Monday 10:20 a.m. report of a remote alcohol monitoring device violation.

An arrest was made after a caller at a First Street business reported a beer theft Monday at 1:45 p.m., but no details on the charges were provided.

An Eighth Street caller reported Monday 4:02 p.m. that tires on an a vehicle had been slashed.

Officers were called to a vehicle crash at First Street and Fifth Avenue Monday at 6:33 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated a theft, forgery or fraud reported at 9:32 p.m. Monday in Box Elder.

Montana Highway Patrol

A 3:47 p.m. Monday report of a Ford half-ton that had slid off the road and through a fence on U.S. Highway 2 East was referred to Montana Highway Patrol. Trooper Matt Erickson said the vehicle was westbound when it lost traction on ice on a bridge deck at mile marker 389. The adult male driver, the only person in the vehicle, suffered minor injuries that did not require an ambulance for transport. The pickup truck was hauled from the site.

Emergency medical technicians responded to one call Monday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held four cats and one 6-month-old kitten all of unknown gender, six male cats, five female cats and one female 10-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held a male mixed-breed dog, a female shepherd, a male mixed-breed dog, a female 10-month-old mixed-breed dog, a female 6-month-old puppy and a female 17-week-old mixed-breed puppy. Also held separately are two 7-week-old puppies and a female 11-week-old puppy, all mixed-breeds.
