The Fresno Ice Fishing Tournament will be Saturday at Fresno Reservoir.
Registration for the tournament starts at 7 a.m. and the mandatory rules meeting will be 7:30 a.m. at Fresno Tavern, 37980 U.S. Highway 2 west of Havre. Cost is $25 for the tournament, and the cash payout is 100 percent of the entry fees paid, so prizes will be based on the number of participants.
Payout is for the largest by length of each species: walleye, northern pike, crappie and perch. Members of the Fresno Chapter of Walleyes Unlimited will be on the lake to take official measurements as the fish are caught. Everyone is invited to a chili feed at Fresno Tavern following the tournament for dinner and the award presentations.
All Montana fish regulations and possession limits apply. Youth participants younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Registration forms are available at Fresno Tavern, Stromberg’s Sinclair and Blaine County Journal. For rules, people can contact [email protected] or 406-399-3580.
