North Star Knights speakers head to state

The North Star Knights spent Saturday in Choteau battling it out to make it to the State Class C Speech, Drama and Debate meet.

All seven North Star participants qualified and will be competing in Huntley Project Friday and Saturday at the State C meet.

In dramatic theatre, Knights Choral Wicks and Kaden Frickel placed third and Emily Conner had a fifth-place finish in dramatic solo acting. 

In speech, Collin Welch placed second and Madelyn Myers took third in humorous oral interpretation of literature, Ecko Fraser took home the gold in original oratory and Brodie Jackson placed fifth in informative speaking. 

The team also brought some hardware home with a second-place finish in drama and a third in speech.

The Knights are coached by Linda Lett.
