Two local winners in the annual Elk's Hoop Shoot competition have made it to the state level. The annual Elk's District Hoop Shoot was recently held in Great Falls, and two Havre free-throw stars advanced on. Braxton Huse, left, made 18-of-25 shots to capture first place in the boys 8-9 category at the district event. Havre shooter Linden Aikins also swept the 8-9 girls age group. She made 14-of-25 shots to take first place in the girls division, while Noah McDonald took 2nd in 10-11 boys, Chloe Harber took 4th in 10-11 girls and Santana Wells took 4th in 12-13 boys. All competitors who advanced from Great Falls will compete at the Elk's State Hoop Shoot Feb. 5 in Livingston.
