Havre's Kaden Burnell swims at a meet at the Havre Community Pool earlier this month. This past weekend, the Blue Ponies were set to host the Class A Invite and their senior day at the Havre Community Pool but the meet was canceled the night before.
The Havre High swim teams were unable to compete this past Saturday as the Class A Invite was canceled the night before on Friday. The Ponies were scheduled to compete against other Class A schools such as Billings Central, Hardin and East Helena. The meet would have been at home at the Havre Community Pool.
The meet would have been the senior day for the program's senior swimmers. They will try to reschedule the meet but there is not much open time between now and the end of the season.
The Ponies do get two more chances to compete this season before the postseason. This Saturday, they are scheduled to head to Great Falls to compete in the Stacy Frey Invitational. On Jan. 28, the Ponies will return to Great Falls for another meet. The Ponies then have a weekend off where they might be able to reschedule the Class A Invite. From Feb. 11-12, the Ponies will finish up their season with the state meet in Great Falls.
