Rocky Boy Schools starts National Honors Society Chapter, inducts 8 members

Rocky Boy Schools inducted eight members into its new National Honors Society club Sunday, Jan. 9.

A dinner at Living Water Church in Rocky Boy honored the students and their parents and guardians.

The Rocky Boy National Honors Society student inductees are:

Seniors: Cruz SunChild, J'Leanna Raining Bird, Ella Moore.

Juniors: April Windy Boy, Kellen Colliflower, Sharon Patacsil.

Sophomores: Talise Bronco and Terrance Johnson.

In addition to strong academic records, the student inductees have stellar records of service in Rocky Boy Schools and in the community. They have served as tutors for their peers, regularly assist elders in the community and helped wrap and deliver more than 300 Christmas presents to elementary students this winter, among other projects.

Rocky Boy Junior and Senior High Principal Tristin Harkins gave a speech during the ceremony Sunday reminding the students of the values of leadership, service, character, and academics.
