Week of Christian Unity starts Sunday with variety show

Greater Havre Area Ministerial Association is inviting people to join together in a week of prayer and unity next week.

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity starts Sunday with a variety show at Havre Assembly of God Church at 901 Ninth St. W., starting at 6 p.m.

People from various churches are encouraged to sing, read a poem, do a skit and so on, with Pastor Edroy “Curt” Curtis of Havre Assembly of God Church sharing a kickoff message for the week. The theme of this year’s week of unity is “We saw the star in the east, and we came to worship Him” Matthew 2:2.

Then, every working weekday morning a breakfast will be offered at 7 a.m. at St. Jude’s Parish Hall. Each morning a different church will provide the meal and the Week of Prayer devotion for that morning.

Monday is provided by Christian Missionary Alliance Church; Tuesday, St. Jude Thaddeus Church; Wednesday, First Lutheran Church; Thursday, Van Orsdel United Methodist Church; and Friday, Havre Assembly of God Church.
