Jan. 24 is Montana State University-Northern Community Involvement Fair
Press release
Montana State University-Northern is inviting non-profit agencies and service organizations to come to Northern’s Student Union Building Monday, Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to connect with students who want to volunteer in the community.
“In 1994, the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday was designated as a national day of service,” a release from organizers of the fair said. “In celebration of Dr. King, students will be provided with an opportunity to learn more about service and volunteer organizations in the area and how they can become more engaged in their community.”
At the event, a table will be provided for each agency and organization. Non-profit agencies and service organizations are encouraged to provide information about the goals of their organization and how a student can get involved. The release said it is preferred that a representative from each organization is present to provide information and answer any questions, but if that is not a possibility, materials can be set up prior to 1o a.m. and collected after 2 p.m. on the day of the event.
Groups and agencies can register online at https://forms.gle/u4wfdWsriHN2HCZL7 to reserve a table and people can email [email protected] for more infomation.
