State and local COVID-19 update, Jan. 11, 2022

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 1,939 new cases, 7,713 active cases, 154 hospitalizations and 2,921 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 204,788 cases.

Hill County Health Department has not provided an update since last week and said its next update will be this afternoon. The state reported 10 new cases in the county with 21 active but its other data such as total number of cases does not match the county numbers.

Blaine County Health Department said in its update Monday that it was notified of 6 new cases and 4 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 12 active cases in the county and 1,564 total cases and 29 deaths.

Rocky Boy Health Center, also reported on the Chouteau or Hill county reports, reported Monday 8 new cases and 16 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 28 active cases, 1,238 total cases and no active hospitalizations. The reservation has had 10 deaths.

Fort Belknap Indian Community, also listed in the Blaine or Phillips county numbers, reported Monday no new cases and 2 met the criteria to be considered recovered with no active cases, 819 total cases, no active hospitalizations and 13 deaths

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 7 active, 276 total cases, 2 deaths.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 10 new cases, 16 active, 816 total cases, 9 deaths.

People can visit the state tracking map, normally updated between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. each day, online through links at https://montana.maps.arcgis.com and at https://covid19.mt.gov .
