State and local COVID-19 update, Jan. 5, 2022

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 1,099 new cases, 4,520 active cases, 141 hospitalizations and 2,912 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 200,558 cases.

Hill County Health Department said in its update Monday that 4 new cases were reported and 11 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 25 active cases in the county and 3,581 total cases. Hill County has had 71 deaths.

Blaine County Health Department said in its update Monday that it was notified of1 new case and none met the criteria to be considered recovered with 10 active cases in the county and 1,549 total cases. Blaine County has had 29 deaths.

Rocky Boy Health Center, also reported on the Chouteau or Hill County reports, reported Monday 2 new cases and none met the criteria to be considered recovered with 23 active cases and 1,233 and no active hospitalizations. The reservation has had 10 deaths.

Fort Belknap Indian Community, also listed in the Blaine or Phillips county numbers, reported Monday no new cases and none met the criteria to be considered recovered with 6 active cases on the reservation and no active hospitalizations. The reservation has had 13 deaths

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 1 active, 269 total cases, 2 deaths.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 4 new cases, 10 active, 805 total cases, 9 deaths.
