Havre Police Department

Someone stopped at the police station asking for assistance Tuesday at 11:22 a.m.

A hit and run vehicle crash was reported Tuesday at 12:18 p.m. on Third Street.

A single vehicle crash was reported Tuesday at 1:56 p.m. on First Street.

--

A 3:59 a.m. report today of a water main break at 16th Street and Seventh Avenue was referred to Havre Public Works.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies assisted with a civil matter reported at 7:37 p.m. in Box Elder.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to one call Tuesday accompanying firefighters with a report of a gas leak on the 700 Block of Fourth Avenue at 8:53 p.m. The source of the smell was a pilot light which needed be relit.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held one 9-month-old kitten of unknown gender, nine male cats, seven female cats, two male 6-month-old kittens, one female 19-week-old kitten and a male 8-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held two male and four female 8-week-old mixed-breed puppies, a male German shepherd, a female mixed-breed dog, a female shepherd, a female 22-week-old mixed-breed puppy and a female 13-week-old puppy. Also held separately are four 5-week-old puppies, three 4-week-old puppies and a female 9-month-old puppy, all mixed-breeds.

Births

Havre's first baby of the year, a girl, was born Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, to Miranda and Keeven Gormley of Havre.
