State and local COVID-19 update, Jan. 3, 2022

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 815 new cases, 3,104 active cases, 127 hospitalizations and 2,908 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 198,520 cases.

Hill County Health Department said in its last update, released Thursday, that 4 new cases were reported and none met the criteria to be considered recovered with 12 active cases in the county and 3,551 total cases. The county has had 71 deaths.

Blaine County Health Department said in its last update, released Thursday, that it was notified of 3 new cases and 1 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 3 active cases in the county and 1,541 total cases. The county has had 29 deaths.

Rocky Boy Health Center, also reported on the Chouteau or Hill county reports, reported Thursday no new cases and no recoveries and 3 new cases and 1 recovery the day before with 5 active cases and 1,215 total cases and no active hospitalizations. The reservation has had 10 deaths.

Fort Belknap Indian Community, also listed in the Blaine or Phillips county numbers, reported Thursday 1 new case and 1 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 1 active case on the reservation, 813 total cases, no active hospitalizations and 13 deaths

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had 1 new case, 1 active, 269 total cases, 2 deaths.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had 1 new case, 12 active, 800 total cases, 0 deaths.
