Havre Police Department

Taylor Rae Strike of Great Falls, 22, was arrested on charges of aggravated driving under the influence and speeding during a vehicle stop on First Street Friday at 12:09 a.m.

A caller reported a vehicle crashed into a sign on First Street Friday at 5:32 a.m.

A caller reported at 12:19 a.m. Saturday that their juvenile daughter had taken off.

An 18th Street caller reported a pickup truck slid into an El Camino Saturday at 8:12 a.m.

Officers assisted after a 16th Street caller asked Saturday at 10:34 a.m. for an officer to speak with their juvenile son.

A Second Street Northeast caller asked Saturday at 11:53 a.m. for a welfare check on someone they thought didn't have any food.

A disturbance with people outside yelling was reported on Third Street Saturday at 11:48 p.m.

Paul Michael Turner of Havre, 31, was issued a summons on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation Sunday at 8:06 a.m.

Officers assisted sheriff's deputies with an investigation on Third Street West Sunday 8:12 a.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Clayton Blade White of Havre, 26, was arrested on a partner or family member assault charge after a disturbance was reported Thursday at 9:24 a.m.

Leah Huntley of Havre, 43, was issued a summons on a charge of shoplifting, and Justin James Martin of Havre, 44, was issued a summons on charges of shoplifting and theft after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a theft Thursday at 10:44 a.m.

Colen Shane of Box Elder, 24, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants when deputies investigated suspicious activity Thursday at 3:51 p.m. at U.S. Highway 87 and County Road 50 South.

Deputies responded to a 1:05 p.m. Thursday call for assistance on 66th Avenue West.

Deputies investigated a complaint on County Road 405 South at 5:56 p.m. Friday.

A caller on First Street Northwest in Box Elder reported vandalism Saturday at 12:48 p.m.

--

A caller at a Box Elder establishment reported Saturday at 9 p.m. that beer was stolen.

--

Someone stopped at the sheriff's office Sunday at 10:44 a.m. asking for assistance.

Deputies investigated an incident in which a 5:22 p.m. Sunday caller reported a family member was causing physical harm to the caller on U.S. Highway 87 near Box Elder.

An arrest was made related to a 3:51 a.m. complaint from Fourth Avenue today, but no details on the charges were provided.

Montana Highway Patrol

A vehicle crash with an injury was reported at 1:50 a.m. Friday on U.S. Highway 2 southeast of Harlem near mile marker 427. No one was made available to provide details on the crash.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to four calls Thursday, eight calls Friday and four calls Sunday.

Firefighters responded to a call at 3 p.m. Sunday on the 400 Block of Fifth Street, which turned out to be a faulty carbon monoxide detector.

Fourteen firefighters responded to a fire at 4:38 a.m. today on the 1200 Block of Grant Avenue. The fire started in an RV with one person in it and the flames spread to house with two occupants. No one was injured, but the RV is a total loss and the house sustained significant damage and may be a total loss, Fire Chief Mel Paulson said. The fire was under control by 5 a.m. and the scene cleared by 8:30 a.m. Cause of the fire is not known at this time.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two cats and one 9-month-old kitten all of unknown gender, seven male cats, five female cats, two male and one female 6-month-old kittens, one female 18-week-old kitten and one male 8-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held a male shepherd, a male pit bull terrier, a male German shepherd, two female mixed-breed dogs and a female 21-week-old mixed-breed puppy. Also held separately are five 3-week-old puppies, two 2-week-old puppies and a female 9-month-old puppy, all mixed-breeds.

Births

A girl was born Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, to Kylie Irwin and Dillon Newbury of Havre.
