Havre Police Department

Officers opened an investigation after someone stopped at the police station Thursday at 9:01 a.m. to say that they were turning themselves in.

Heather Marie Burger of Havre, 32, was arrested on a shoplifting charge after a caller at a First Street business reported Thursday at 11:06 a.m. having a non-combative shoplifter held at the store.

A caller at a Second Street Northeast location reported at 2 p.m. Thursday that a man had stolen her French bulldog.

--

Someone stopped at the police station Thursday at 2:58 p.m. asking to speak with an officer about a family member.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Someone at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported lost or found property at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

A credit card fraud incident was reported by a caller on 38th Street Southeast Thursday at 4:20 p.m.

Thomas Kipp Jones of Havre, 42, was arrested on a state District Court warrant and a charge of probation violation after being transferred to Hill County Detention Center from the courthouse Thursday at 5:04 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Thursday and two early this morning.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two 6-month-old kittens of unknown gender, seven male cats, five female cats, a female 16-week-old kitten and one male 7-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held a male shepherd, a male 10-month-old mixed-breed puppy, two male pit bull terriers, a male German shepherd, two female mixed-breed dogs and a female 19-week-old mixed-breed puppy.
