It’s no secret what a great start to the 2021-22 season Mascio McCadney is having. And the Montana State University-Northern senior was honored by the Frontier Conference for it.
McCadney was named Frontier Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday. McCadney is a 6-foot-3 senior guard from Detroit, Michigan. The Lights beat Dickinson State on the road 86-64.
McCadney scored 30 points in the win over the Blue Hawks. He was 10 of 21 from the field; 3 of 5, 3-point field goals and 7 of 8 from free throw line.
Also nominated was Derrius Collins of Montana Tech.
Rocky Mountain’s Shauna Bribiescas was named Frontier Women’s Player of the Week. She is a 5-foot-11 senior from Chandler, Arizona. The Battlin’ Bears won on the road against Dickinson State 77-68. Bribiescas scored a career-best 28 points. She was 8 of 14 from the field (6 of 7 3-pt) and 6 of 6 from the free throw line.
Also nominated was Sydney Hovde of MSU-Northern, Jamie Pickens of Carroll College and Tavia Rooney of Montana Tech.
