Havre Police Department

Matthew Jared Olson of Havre, 44, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, failure to provide proof of vehicle insurance and failure to yield right of way at a stop sign after officers were called to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash at Third Avenue and Ninth Street Wednesday at 11:29 a.m.

A caller at a First Street business reported at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday that a dog bit an employee.

Juanita Dawn Gopher of Box Elder, 53, was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and possession of drug paraphernalia after a caller at a First Street West business reported Wednesday at 4:27 p.m. that women were banging on doors and refused to leave after being asked to.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Sheriff's office dispatch log reported no arrests, summons or investigations in the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to four calls in the 24-hour reporting period.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held two cats of unknown gender, three female cats, four male cats, and one male and one female 7-month-old kittens.

The shelter also held a male shepherd, a male 10-month-old mixed-breed puppy, two male pit bull terriers, a male German shepherd, two female mixed-breed dogs, a male shepherd dog, a female 18-week-old mixed-breed puppy and a female pit bull terrier.

Births

A girl was born Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, to Sally and James Christensen of Chinook.
