Obituary - Peggy Jo Gould

Peggy Jo Gould, 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Havre Nov. 30, 2021, with her family by her side.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 9th, 2021, at First Lutheran Church in Havre with Pastor Megan Hoewisch officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Holland and Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.

Peggy was born August 11, 1936, in Havre to Martin and Emma (Clouse) Ruff. She was raised on the family farm and educated in Havre, graduating from Havre High School in 1954. On her parents' anniversary, she married Roland Gould in August of 1954. They just celebrated their 66th anniversary.

Peggy Jo and Roland made their home in Havre living in the house they built together where they raised their two daughters, Joni and Linda.

Peggy was full of love and had great compassion for people. Her family was her top priority. She was also a very dedicated and loving grandmother to her granddaughter, Kaylee.

She loved with all her heart and was an inspiration to many with her strength, having battled cancer for the third time.

Peggy loved bowling, going camping and on picnics, traveling down south, playing games, going on old car trips with friends, and having birthday lunches with the girls. More recently, she looked forward to quilting with the ladies at First Lutheran Church.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruby and Mildred; and brothers Jim and Dennis.

She is survived by her husband, Roland; daughters, Joni (Bob) Schubert and Linda (Bruce) Leeds; granddaughter, Kaylee Schubert; brother Delmer; and many extended family members and friends.

Memorial contributions in Peggy Jo's honor may be made to the First Lutheran Church, Friends of Beaver Creek Park or to a memorial of one's choice.

Peggy will be greatly missed by all who knew her and whose lives she touched.
