State and local COVID-19 update, Dec. 7, 2021

Fort Belknap Indian Community, also listed in the Blaine or Phillips county numbers, reported Saturday a COVID-19-related death and reported Monday 1 new case with 1 meeting the criteria to be considered recovered. It reported 1 new hospitalization, 10 active cases on the reservation, 803 total cases, and 1 active hospitalization in total. The reservation has had 13 deaths

Hill County Health Department said in its update Monday that 4 new cases were reported Saturday through Monday and 4 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 4 active cases in the county and 3,503 total cases. No hospitalizations were listed. The county had 71 deaths.

Blaine County Health Department said in its update Monday that it was notified of 1 new case and 4 met the criteria to be considered recovered with 12 active cases in the county and 1,517 total cases. 1 person was hospitalized. The county had 29 deaths.

Rocky Boy Health Center, also reported on the Chouteau or Hill County reports, reported Monday 2 new cases and none met the criteria to be considered recovered with 3 active cases and 1,201 total cases and no one hospitalized. The reservation has had 10 deaths.

Liberty County, reported on the state update this morning, had 1 new case, 2 active, 268 total cases, 2 deaths.

Chouteau County, reported on the state update this morning, had no new cases, 3 active, 778 total cases, 8 deaths.

The Montana state COVID tracking map after this morning’s update listed 423 new cases, 3,266 active cases, 184 hospitalizations and 2,777 deaths. The cumulative total for the state was 193,005 cases.
