Grief has a lot of highs and lows - today it's rather low.
Some 'versaries happen this month; this Grief Path's awfully slow.
New life we need, new this - new that; healing takes time, no doubt.
Grief wound does sting like everything; wounds heal from inside out.
We're told that groaning seems to help and don't forget to eat!
And exercise? Without you, dear; won't happen on this street!
A Family Day is coming up; they used to be such fun.
We'll plan ahead, some things we'll change, might work out in long-run.
We thank the Lord for our dear friends who listen while we talk.
We share and care and set small goals, friends join us in "Grief Walk."
Friend "Mary' says to take deep breaths - it helps to keep one "cool!"
A neighbor says to help others, like volunteer at school!
To cry and pray also helps us, to get on with our life.
Our loved one's gone; our heart does ache, when grief stabs like a knife.
We're to beware and look for ways to bless heart-broken friends.
We're a support to show them that God's love to them/us, He sends.
Encouragement[1] - that's what we need, it helps us when we fuss.
Our loved one's gone, we need support, thank God, He'll stay with us.
