Elks set memorial service for Sunday

Havre Elks Lodge BPOE 1201 will conduct their annual Memorial Service Sunday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. in the Lodge Room located at 321 Second St. Lodge Exalted Ruler Matt Kretchmer stated that this annual service honors the memory of Elks members who have passed away during the past year — as well as remembering those Elk members who have gone on before.

This year’s guest speaker will be Mike Rappold, Havre Elks Lodge Leading knight. Havre Elks Lodge officers will perform the memorial ritual and special music will be provided by Yvonne Skramstad. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the ceremony.

Program Chairman Brandy Kurtz announced that the following deceased members will be honored: Fred Stremcha, Chas “Spek” Helmbrecht, Keith Maristuen, Robert “Bob” Nieuwenhuyse PER, PDDGER, Patrick Lamphier, Frank Ybarra, David Jones, Michael Hansen past secretary, Don Finley, Ken Kihara PER, and Steve Helmbrecht PER.

All Elks members, family and friends of the departed members, and the public are cordially invited and encouraged to attend.
