From there, though, the Skylights turned things around. Northern went on a 20-5 run in the second stanza to lead 33-29 at the break, then the Skylights exploded for 26 points in the third period to go up by double digits, and they never looked back in their first road win of 2021.

MSU-N senior Sydney Hovde scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Skylights, while Peyton Kehr added 16 points and Ryley Kehr scored 14. As a team Northern shot 50 percent from the field, while also making four 3-pointers. The Skylights also grabbed 36 rebounds and forced 16 turnovers as they improved to 2-2 on the young season.
